Il s’agit de la première vidéo de Lazy Habits que j’ai regardée. C’est aussi celle qui m’a complètement accrochée, grâce au génie du marketing qui me l’a gentiment poussée du doigt dû au choix de l’acteur.
Taron Egerton, acteur gallois des films britanniques Kingsmans et Eddie the Eagle, joue un jeune homme épuisé du rythme de sa vie. Le jeu de l’acteur est juste et complémente bien la chanson et ses paroles. On en oublie la brillance de l’étoile pour n’y voir qu’un jeune homme dont sa propre vie semble lui échapper.
Les paroles sont puissantes et laissent une cicatrice dès la première écoute. Les références culturelles et cinématographiques sont multiples. Le son est authentique et très singulier. Lazy Habits mélange habilement un hip-hop traditionnel, des sons de Nouvelle-Orléans avec de la poésie moderne. L’album complet offre un rythme effréné, sans toute fois être essoufflant, d’ailleurs il est l’idéal partenaire d’entrainement.
Choisir une seule chanson me semble impossible, j’ai donc choisi deux vidéos que je trouve magnifique.

LAZY HABITS
This is the first video of Lazy Habits I've watched. It's also what that hooked me to the genre, thanks to the genie of the marketing which friendly pushed it toward me, due to the choice of the actor.
Taron Egerton, Welsh actor from the British movies Kingsmans and Eddie the Eagle, plays a young man exhausted by the rhythm of his life. The actor's performance is subtle and complements well the song and its lyrics. We forget about the shine the star could bring to see a young man from whom life seems to run away, uncontrollable.
The words are powerful and leave a scar from the first listening. The cultural and cinematographic references are multiple. The sound is authentic and very singular. Lazy Habits mixes skilfully traditional hip-hop, sounds of New Orleans with modern poetry. The complete album offers a wild rhythm, without making us breathless; moreover, it is the ideal partner for training.
